Jealousy Can Make YOU Poor

Judgement Can cost us big time.

Ever work with someone who is successful and making more money than you – but you just don’t approve of how they are marketing themselves? Or you’ve seen a wealthy person treat less wealthy people poorly? Or maybe you just don’t like what money does to people or how they act when they have it?

Well here’s the thing.

The stronger you feel about these wealthy or successful people, the less likely you are going to be able to let yourself become wealthy.

If you continue to cultivate strong negative feelings and beliefs about these people, you are going to separate yourself from them and stop yourself from being associated with them altogether. Eventually you will find others to support your views about these so-called “successful people” and they might help strengthen your resolve about people with money.

So how will you ever allow yourself to have something that you don’t think is okay for others to have? Worse than that, the judgment you have about wealthy people may cause you to develop fear and resistance to your own success. And, if that’s the case, you will be self-sabotaging and/or resistant to success altogether.

Money does not make people good or bad. Have you ever looked up to wealthy and generous people? We look for evidence to support what we believe, even if that belief limits us.  All rich people are not evil. In fact, believing that only helps prevent more good people from becoming wealthy. If you are a good person, having money will enhance your goodness. Money is a catalyst. It can bring out the best or the worst in people. Just like fame, knowledge and power.

I was once someone judging others for their success, annoyed that they were not as good as me. Who were they to be selling programs and charging clients what they were charging. But the truth is, I didn’t have the courage to put myself out there. I was angry that they didn’t have the beliefs that I had, stopping them from going after what they want. I made it wrong for others because somewhere along the way I was taught to believe it was wrong for me.

You can have whatever you want in life. You have to get out of your own way. I was in my way and I finally got out of it. I decided that I was more than enough and I had something that the world needed to hear and no one else could ever do it the same way. So I put myself out there for the good of the world.

Somewhere deep inside you, you know you are meant for more, and your life is too valuable to be held back by self-imposed limiting beliefs and fears. I hope this article encourages you to examine your beliefs and invest in yourself. Don’t let false and limiting beliefs dictate your story.

Make your next chapter your best chapter.
